I always thought the transporter in Star Trek was just pure Hollywood magic. For decades, the idea of stepping onto a glowing pad and instantaneously beaming across the galaxy was the ultimate sci-fi fantasy. But while digging into some recent research, a mind-bending realization hit me: we are actually doing it.
Well, not with humans just yet—but by teleporting information using quantum entanglement.

The leap from fiction to reality isn’t happening on the starship Enterprise; it is happening right now in our own orbit. When China’s Micius satellite successfully teleported a photon’s quantum state over 1,200 kilometers away, the scientific community was shaken.
