If you’re an individual investor who also happens to build with AI, you’ve had the skills to create something powerful but nowhere safe to run it.
That changes today. We’re launching Agent Portfolios in a gradual rollout and for the first time, you can connect your own AI agent to a real trading portfolio on eToro.
What is an Agent Portfolio?
An Agent Portfolio is a dedicated sub-portfolio inside your eToro account, built specifically for AI-driven trading. You name it, fund it with an amount you choose, and connect your agent through a scoped API key. From there, your agent can trade on your behalf within the portfolio you’ve set up for it.
You stay in control of how much capital to allocate, which agent to connect, and the boundaries it operates within. It’s the simplest way to go from “I built an AI agent” to “my AI agent is trading for me.”
Here’s what you get:
Your own AI trading portfolio. A separate portfolio dedicated to your agent’s strategies, distinct from your personal investments.
You choose the budget. Start with as little as $200. Scale up as you gain confidence. Adjust anytime.
Scoped API credentials. A dedicated API key tied to this portfolio. Connect it to whatever you’ve built: a Python script, an LLM-powered agent, a custom trading bot, an OpenClaw.
What builders are already doing
A developer in our beta connected an agent that monitors VIX levels via a public API. When volatility spikes above 25, the agent rotates into defensive positions. When VIX drops below 20, it re-enters equities. The entire strategy runs autonomously inside a $1,000 Agent Portfolio.
Others are experimenting with:
Scheduled rebalancing. Agents that check sector weightings daily and rebalance when allocation drift exceeds a threshold.
Thesis-driven portfolios. Agents that maintain concentrated positions in a theme like AI infrastructure, energy transition or crypto, and adjust as prices move.
Signal-reactive strategies. Agents that respond to external data feeds: earnings releases, macro indicators, sentiment scores, and execute trades within rules you define.
The strategies are yours to design. The API gives your agent the ability to open positions, close positions, check balances, and manage the portfolio you’ve scoped for it.

Path A: The Standard Setup
Open Agent Portfolios (Beta) from the eToro desktop platform’s side menu.
Name your portfolio, allocate your starting budget (minimum $200), and copy your API key.

Path B: The Conversational Setup

💡Important: You need an Agent, not a Chatbot To use this flow, your AI must be able to execute commands and run API calls directly.
Supported: Agents like OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Claude Code, and Cursor.
Not supported: Standard chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.ai. These are sandboxed and cannot execute the required configuration commands.
